Hello from Charisse!

Hello to everyone,

My name is Charisse Hay and I’ve started at Holy Cross in the role of College Psychologist.  I work closely with College Social Worker Joanne Betti, College Nurse Grace Bradshaw and Vice Principal Peter Collins to assist student wellbeing.  For those that I haven’t met yet in the school community, I’m looking forward to meeting you really soon!  In the meantime, here are some links to assist student wellbeing.

The Black Dog Institute has a new online positive psychology  program for youth and adolescents.  This might be timely given exam time.  Students can register at: www.biteback.org.au

Read more about what happens at the initial appointment.

Important note: For the group to be beneficial to each group member, it is important that the participants have a sufficient level of skill to manage their behaviour, including attention, concentration, and ability to follow instructions cooperatively. If this is uncertain, we can discuss further over the phone, or at the initial appointment, as this is an important prerequisite of the program.
